Salva Vidas II

Background:  Built and donated by Gary Yeakle, an electric engineer in California who wanted to see his assets used in the Lord’s work. The boat made the long voyage from San Francisco, CA to Manaus, Brazil where it is now in service.

The launch was  inaugurated on July 4th, 2009 (in honor of July 4th, 1931, when the missionary Leo Halliwell and his wife Jessie inaugurated their first mission boat – Luzeiro I – in Belem, Brazil).

  • 52’ x 29’8” Catamaran
  •  Two 50 hp engines
  • GPS, Sonar, HAM Radio
  • 4 beds (2 twin & 2 full) &  4 hammocks, kitchen & bathroom
  • 8 hp dinghy

Work area:  Amazonas River (328 km from Manaus)
