LOCATION: This base is located to the right of the Negro River in the city of Novo Airão, at a distance of 115 km from Manaus (143 km by boat).

POPULATION: 15,343 inhabitants (IBGE/2008).
MUNICIPAL LIMITS: Borders the cities of Presidente Figueiredo, Manaus, Iranduba, Manacapuru, Caapiranga, Codajás, Barcelos (Amazonas), and the state of Roraima.
