ASVAM’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Born in Tennessee, USA, Nurse-Practitioner. He has worked for the ministry since its foundation. He is the president of the NGO and General Coordinator of Amazon Lifesavers Ministry. He has a passion for missions and also serves as Advisor to OCI and is the Secretary and Director of FE (ASI Brazil).
Doctor, a native of Uberaba-MG, studied and worked in Rio de Janeiro for about 17 years. Living in Manaus for the past 13 yrs, he and his wife Flavia have been involved in missions since their arrival in the Amazon. Here, they had three children: Julia, Louise and Arthur. One of their great joys is to be able to raise their children in a missionary environment.
Pathologist, professor at the School of Medicine UFAM and researcher at the Tropical Medicine Foundation. At ASVAM, Dr Luiz works as the technical director, advising health related activities for the missions.
Born in Brasília – DF, Medical Specialist in Tropical Diseases and sonographer. He has been working with the project since its foundation. He coordinates the Rio Solimões Base, which is located in the city of Coari, 360 km from the capital Manaus. Active in missions for 16 years.
Third generation missionary, Lina was raised outside of the US, where she was born. Following in the footsteps of her parents and grandparents, she studied nursing, aviation and oral hygiene. Today she serves as the ministries’ secretary. She is the mother of two boys, Levi and Lucas.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?”
